Robert Hudson served in the Civil War as a private, Company F, 59th Tennessee Infantry, CSA. He was captured at Chickamauga and spent 1 1/2 years in the Union prisoner-of-war camp at Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois. He lived until 1901.
